Please reach us at Lisa@PawPrintTrails.com.au if you cannot find an answer to your question.
This is a great opportunity for you and your dog to meet the handler and to discuss your expectations around the service and how we can provide the best quality service.
Access to your dog, whether that is you being at home for the service, allowing a handler to enter into your backyard or providing Paw Print Trails with a key or code for access. If you dog wears a certain type of collar, harness, halti or other tool for walking, please advise the handler so that Paw Print Trails can ensure they can appropriately fit the dog safely. If your dog takes any particular treats, you can provide those our handlers. Our handlers have leads and lots of poop bags available but are happy to walk your dog on their own lead if you are happy to provide it.
The decompression walks are based around the area of your home, this means that your dog can enjoy an entire 45 minute walk with as many smells as they chose to follow without worrying about travel time. If there are any areas you would like our handlers to avoid, please advise them prior to the walk.
The Paw Print Trails Adventure walks are based in more open areas, we will attempt to stay as close to your home as possible to give your dog the longest time we can enjoying themselves. Travel times can be up to 15 minutes away from the dog guardian's home, for a handler to get to an area where a 15 metre leash is manageable and safe for the handler and dog. If an area like this isn't within 15 minutes of your property, a shorter leash will be used as long as it is safe to do so.
Please try to provide Paw Print Trails with 12 hours of notice for any cancellations or rescheduling of appointments so we can update our books accordingly. If payment has already been made, your can request a refund or have a credit to your next booking, this credit is applicable for 2 months.
Paw Print Trails will provide our services in any circumstances that are safe. On hot weather days, walks will be scheduled in the morning or rescheduled to another day. If the weather will get to 30 degrees Celsius or higher, this is when walks will be earlier or changed to ensure the safety of your dog and our handlers.
Our handlers still work in wet weather, if it is raining we will still maintain the booking. However, if the rain becomes very heavy, there is thunder and lightning or there is hail then the booking will be cancelled or rescheduled due to safety concerns.
Yes, Paw Print Trails has public liability insurance up to $10 million.
We will try to contact you in an emergency, but we will put the health of the dog first. If they need to see a vet immediately then we will take the appropriate action, of course we will continue to try to contact you if we haven't gotten through and to keep you update during the situation.
